Thursday – Inclusive Curricula, by NJEA (Virtual)

Throughout this session, participants will become familiar with New Jersey’s statutory curriculum inclusion requirements, including Holocaust, Amistad, LGBTQIA+, Persons with Disabilities, Asian American Pacific Islander, and Diversity and Inclusion mandates. Together, we will discuss and explore the purpose behind inclusive curricula as participants unpack the language behind each legislation. Participants will leave with resources and supports for practical application within their classrooms and local contexts.

Although this is a virtual session, participants are encouraged to bring notebooks, journals, pens for the identity mapping exercise and a device with internet access to access materials via a QR Code.
